Chocolate chip scones

A very simple recipe for Scones- and these can be done sort of free form shape or pressed in a scone pan if you prefer-
preheat oven to 375
Mix together 1 1/2 cups flour -you will need a bit more than this but start out with this amount
2 tsp baking powder
tsp salt
1/4 cup sugar -I have successfully used both white or icing sugar depending what I had in the house
1/2 tsp vanilla
1 cup milk chocolate chips
Mix that all together, making sure the chocolate chips are coated.
Then add
1 Cup Whipping cream.(not whipped cream. But the liquid kind) Stir together, and if you feel it is too sticky to knead a bit with your hands then add a bit more flour (but no more than 1/4 cup)
Brush across the tops with another 1 tbsp of whipping cream, and if you wish add some crushed peppermint.
Knead it together and then either roll it out and cut it into shapes,  or be lazy like me and blob it apart and  shape how you wish.  Bake for 15-20 minutes. Don't let them overcook or they aren't as nice\
I don't usually add the peppermint, and I always use milk chocolate chips. It makes a difference.
